Many of us might have forgotten in five years the thrilling stories of eight years old a Hindu minority child Rita Rani of Bhola district, a Hindu minority shefali Rani Das of Bagerhat district and also the story of gang rape of Shefali’s husband’s sister. Many people have forgotten the screaming of Chabi Rani of Rampal and the cry of Purnima of Sirajganj district.

All of these people were given punishment for casting their votes against BNP and Jamat in 2001 election. There was an attempt to drive the minorities from this country at that time. Many of them were evicted from their homes though they didn’t leave the country.

Journalist Shariar Kabir in his documentary ‘Let Us Live’ has presented the stories of the repression on the minorities. The documentary was inaugurated and displayed on Wednesday in a city hotel in presence of distinguished citizens and foreign diplomats. Shariar Kabir is trying to awaken the country men to resist the repetition of the repression on the minorities considering the upcoming election.
