Conspiracy for forceful eviction of a Minority family involving false cases at Faridpur Gerda Union – Faridpur District of Bangladesh. Press conference held by the victims ( Daily "Samakal" dated 1 st of April, 2006)
A local influential group within Faridpur District of Bangladesh hatched up a conspiracy to evict a Hindu Minority family from their home and hearth. It has been revealed by the members of the victim family through a Press conference held at Reporters Unity at Faridpur on Friday last. They have also alleged that Ranjit Biswas and Sanjit Biswas are the two brothers of the family who have been implicated in a false case of murder. Ashutosh Biswas – the elder brother of the family alleged "As I am personally associated with a political party " Awami League " some opposite party leaders are trying to harass us with motive to grab our home with ulterior motive"
It has also been reported that Mamunur Rashid Mitu, labour leader of Khabaspur, Selim Meah – Gerda U.P. Chairman and BNP leader of Faridpur most illegally, cunningly and indirectly hatched up a conspiracy to evict this minority family.
On 23rd January, 2006 Kaniz – a local businessman was killed. His brother – Galib filed a case without mentioning the names of the accused responsible for the murder in Faridpur Sadar P.S. Aminur Rahaman – S.I. of Police arrested more than 20 suspected accused in the name of the investigation on different occasions in this connection. This Aminur Rahaman – S.I. of Police demanded huge amount of money from this minority family. The S.I. also threatened them if the amount is not given to him Ranjit Biswas and Sanjit Biswas of the same family would be made accused in this murder case. Ashutosh Biswas refused to pay such bribe to Aminur Rahaman because their brothers are not at all connected with alleged murder. Aminur Rahaman – S.I. of Police took huge amount of money from the opposite parties and involved his two younger brothers Ranjit and Sanjit in the Charge sheet most illegally.
