I, Advocate Rabindra Ghosh, along with Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh (HRPB) Executive President Advocate Manzil Murshid filed the above writ petiton on behalf of HRCBM in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh to-day ( April-16,2006) in the court of Mr.Justice Md. Awlad Ali and Mrs. Justice Jinnat Ara. The Judges of the High Court Division heard the matter partly today and on behalf of the State Deputy Attorney General of Bangladesh took time. Probably the Judges of the High Court Division will pass an order tomorrow on this writ petition.

The writ petition is filed in the High Court over the failure of the authorities concerned in taking proper action against those who had tortured the religious minorities after the 2001 general elections.
